Deposition of the cholesterol on the skin is known as xanthelasma. It is generally seen over eye lids. It is due to much cholesterol level. It can be seen in both the sex but generally it is seen in female patients. It can occur to people of any age group. They are most commonly found in people in their 40s to 50s. It is believed that xanthelasma appears as a result of cell damage. Specifically, when cells within the capillaries get disconnected from one another, the cholesterol found in the area can leak from the blood and end up being deposited into the skin, which results in the obvious, unsightly yellow patches that mark the condition. Xanthelasma has sharp distinct borders and it can have 3mm to cm of diameter.

 Medical Treatments for the Xanthelasma are :-
